What is an immobiliser?
The immobiliser is a component that connects the antenna/throttle body/ CDI or ECU unit by a RIDF chip located inside the plastic key casing. The computer unit would start the motorcycle without the chip, even if the key has the correct cut.
DOES MY BIKE HAVE AN IMMOBILISER
Each manufacturer decided on the models, size and year to fit the immobiliser system. From around 2015 onwards, most newer motorbikes and motorcycles with a larger engine than 300cc would have an immobiliser system installed. Please get in touch with us with your bike details to know whether your motorcycle has an immobiliser system installed.
